Dragon Vs T-Rex V1.0
By: ZyrephDragon

There was a mysterious dome building near the outskirts of the local fairgrounds.  No one really knew what it was there for, only that a sign outside of the building that promised the best show your life, and it was completely free.  The only restriction was that no children were allowed, and they only allowed in 100 people.
Inside the building there was only enough light to find a seat on the wooden benches circling the center, with the center being completely dark.  The audience talked among themselves as they waited and wondered what kind of show it would be.  Many sceptically people thought it just a bad joke, stating “nothing good is free”.  Other people were more hopeful as they anxiously waited to see what hid in the darkness at the center of the dome.
It didn't take long after the room had filled up for them to find out what was going on.  An announcer with a voice sounding like a sports announcer came over head suddenly.
“Welcome ladies and gentlemen!  Thank you all for coming to a show like non other you've seen before.  Here today you lucky few will bear witness to two mighty beast.   Once thought to only be a part of myth and legend, I present to you the mighty dragon Kalex Sharptalon.”
A large spot light shot on, shining down on a large emerald green dragon.  Kalex spread out his wings a bit and tilted his head up as he roared out a greeting to the audience who were talking amongst themselves in shock and awe at the sight.
After a while the announcer came back on while Kalex showed off his majestic form.  “And now let me introduce you to a beast from a time long past.  One of the most well known and feared of his kind.  Everyone welcome Geresh T Rex!”
Another spot light clicked on and shown down on a large earth tone brown T-Rex standing a several feet away from the dragon.  Kalex growled a bit as attention went over to the T-Rex and the audience broke into another set of excited chatter.  Geresh roared out his own greeting as he stomped on the ground, shaking the whole building.
The announcer gave the audience a moment to calm down before continuing.  “Here you have before you two mighty beast, but which one of them can catch and eat the most prey?  We have brought these creatures of myths and times long past here today to answer that very question.”
It was at this time the audience could hear the sound of the all the doors being sealed shut from the outside.  Panic started to fill their hearts as many of them wondered what was going on, but the smartest among the crowd already had a good idea what was gonna happen next and started trying to find a way out.
Kalex and Geresh started to get anxious as they looked out at the panic crowd, saliva filling their maws.  The announcer came back on shortly, now talking directly to the two fearsome creatures from the safety of booth located high above the arena-like dome.  “The rules are simple.  Whoever can catch and eat the most people will be the winner.  You are not allowed to harm your opponent in anyway that will interfere with with them catching or eating their prey.  As far how you catch and eat your prey, anything goes.  You both have been giving a medicine that will allow you to consume as much as you like without feeling full so don't hold back.  You may begin.  May the best beast win!”
The ding of a bell much like you'd hear at a boxing match sounded and the two large predators began their hunt.  By now everyone was in full panic.  A large group of them where gathered around the main entrance trying desperately to open it.  Kalex made his way quickly to the crowd, snacking up one person who saw him coming and tried to run in his jaws and swallowing him whole in one gulp.  Other people were more lucky and were able to get out of way, but the people who were too busy banging on the door never saw the dragon's maw coming down on them.  Two more people were snatched up into the dragon's maw in an instant, with a third person dangling from Kalex's maw by their arm as he tilted his head back and gulped down his prey while he spread his wings around the crowd, trying to trap them in.
Geresh wasn't about to the let the dragon casually chow down on -his- prey however.  Kalex barely noticed the giant Rex before he got bowled over by it.  The dragon tumbled on his side briefly after getting rammed, and watched as the Rex's maw came down on the crowd of people and caught a maw full of flesh and bone.  The sound of meat and bones grinding together echoed the arena as the Rex chewed up and swallowed at least half a dozen people at once.
Kalex growled in anger at the Rex, but turned his attention back to hunting, figuring fighting for that spot would be a waste of time.  His nostril flared as he sniffed the air, the smell of blood and fear filling the arena make him all that much more hungry.  He quickly found a couple trying to hide under the benches near by.  They were huddled up together shaking as they dragon loomed over them.  Kalex tore the benches out of the way and quickly snagged up the couple in his jaws.  He threw his head back, letting them slide down his long neck as their kicking feet disappeared down his maw.  Kalex enjoyed the feeling of his prey squirming all the way down throat and continuing their useless struggle in his stomach, but he didn't have time to indulge in the feeling, he had a contest to win.
The large T-Rex stomped on a group of people trying to escape, crushing them under his weight as he quickly gulped down the rest of the people who were gathered by the main entrance.  Geresh mindlessly lapped up the people he had crushed with his large pinkish tongue and gulped them down as he scanned the arena for more prey.
The emerald green dragon made his way quickly to the opposite side of the arena where people where gathering with the foolish idea that being as far away from the two giant beast as possible was the safest place.  A few dozen people scattered in all directions as he dashed towards them.  Kalex spread his large leather wings and flapped them hard towards a large group of fleeing prey, which created a strong enough gust of wind to blow several of them over.  Before they could get back up, Kalex had pinned them under his feet, and even one under his tail, and began to scoop them up one by one in his maw and gulp them down quickly.
Geresh took advantage of the chaos his opponent was making and run into a group of people too busy worrying about the dragon to really notice they were running right at him.  The giant Rex lowered his maw to the ground while running towards the group of fleeing people, scooping up 4 of them and lifting his head up to gulp them down quickly.
Kalex looked over at the T-Rex as he gulped down the last of his prey he had captured.  He growled angerly to himself as he watched Geresh taking full advantage of his large maw.  It became clear to him he wasn't going to win at his current rate when his opponent could swallow down half a dozen people at once and he could only do 2 at best.  As he looked around the arena an idea became to form in his head.  It seemed like a bit of a long shot, but if it worked he'd be able to consume his prey a lot faster.
It didn't bother the giant Rex why the dragon had stopped and seemed to be staring off in thought, as he continued to use his new trick to scoop up people trying to flee into his large maw while running along the outside edges of the arena.  The dragon's voice boomed over the chaos of the arena but he payed no attention to it.
“You must be aware by now none of you will leave here alive.”  Kalex said while standing up on his hind legs in a loud booming voice.  “You can ether continue to run and be hunted down like animals, or you can willingly come to me and swallowed down with some dignity.”
The emerald dragon stood in the middle of the arena and waited a moment. Several people stopped to think about it, a few only to be eaten by the T-Rex mindlessly devouring them.  Slowly people began to decide to give into their fate and give themselves to the dragon willingly.  Kalex quickly gulped them down one at a time as they approached, barely giving enough time for the previous one to reach his stomach before the next was in his maw.
Geresh was oblivious to what was going on as he crushed another human in his jaws trying to run for the center and gulped them down.  It wasn't till he was chasing down someone who managed to sneak past him that he noticed people strangely gathering in front of the dragon.  With an angry roar he charged towards the dragon with his maw lowered, aiming to grab up the people remaining in front of him in his maw.
One person practicably jumped into Kalex's maw as the Rex changed in and chomped down another 4 people standing in front of the dragon.  The remaining few scattered about the arena again as Kalex gulped down the last of his willing prey.  His stomach was badly bloated with all the people he had consumed and he was feeling sluggish with all the extra weight.  Geresh's stomach dragged against the ground a bit, but he didn't seem to slow down very much as he continued to his non stop hunt.
The emerald dragon glanced up at a digital score board overhead that been keeping count of how many people each of them had consumed.  43 to 46 it read, with him in the lead, but the Rex was already on top of his next victim.  His stomach slushed around almost comically as he ran around the arena, sniffing out the remaining few people.
Geresh smashed threw bleachers to reach a few people hiding, consuming pieces of the bleacher as he crushed them in his maw and gulped them down.  Kalex desperately searched every inch of the arena as his lead was slipping away.  One person saw him coming crawled quickly under the bleachers trying to get away.  The dragon smashed threw the bleachers in frustration as the human evaded his sluggish movements.  He finally took a quick snap at his prey as they ran between a gap in the bleachers and caught them by the head.  With a quick flick he bit into th person's mid section and wiped them around in frustration then ground them in his maw before swallowing.
Only six people remained now, with the score tied at 47.  Geresh was tearing apart everything in sight, regardless if there was someone there or not.  Kalex decided that wasn't such a bad idea, and started smashed apart the arena from the opposite side, narrowing down places for the remainly few people to hide.  One person ended up caught between the two beast and snatched up in the dragon's maw by the shoulders as the Rex bite onto them by the waist and ended up being torn in two.
After exchanging some anger growls at each other the two predators went back to hunting down the last 5 people.  A young man decided to be brave and charged at T-Rex with a makeshift spear made from a piece of the bleachers.  Geresh snatched him up before he could even had a chance to do any harm.  Kalex sniffed around in the remainly bleachers that hadn't been destroyed and a found a young woman who disappeared down his throat quickly with a short scream.
The giant T-Rex scanned around the arena, with this head swaying from side to side.  He picked up some movement out of the corner of his eye and his maw there in a second.  Geresh caught the man by the mid section and tossed back his maw, letting his prey side down into his throat and disappeared with an audible gulp.
As the emerald dragon searched for one of the last couple people left he felt his body getting more and more sluggish, desiring to sleep off his massive meal.  Kalex decided to rest and try his trick again.  “Come out and give into your fate.  We won't give up till you're all resting in our belly.  If you come to me I promise your end will be as pleasant as possible.”
This time Geresh caught on to what the dragon was saying but pretended not to pay any mind to it as he continued to search, hoping someone would run past him to get to the dragon again.  One person decided to give in.  Kalex felt a tug at his tail and looked over to see a man using his bulk to hide from Geresh's view.  The dragon bowed his head a bit in a respectful manner and lowered his head to the ground and opened his maw.  Geresh looked over at the dragon wondering what he was up to.
The young man stayed hidden along the side of the dragon as he approached the open maw.  It seemed a lot less frightening to him being stationary then coming at him quickly.  Kalex's tail twitched a bit and his maw filled up with a pool of saliva in anticipation as he tried his best to hold himself back from just snacking the man up like he did the rest.  Dragon's always tried to keep their word, and he promised to make it as present as possible so he waited.  The young man crawled into the hot moist cave that was the dragon's maw and laid down against the slimy pinkish tongue.  Kalex raised his head and let the man slide down his throat slowly.
Geresh only realized what was going on by seeing a budge traveling down the dragon's long neck.  Anger almost made him miss the last remaining human trying to sneak past him.  The Rex's maw flew down at the human trying to snatch them up, but instead something unexpected happened.  Instead of successfully catching the human in his maw, he found it attached to the top of his nose hanging on for dear life.  As an instinctive reaction, the Rex flung his head from side to side to get them off.  He was successfully in that, but the person flew off towards Kalex.  The dragon scooped up the human in his hand and had them in his maw quickly, but Geresh rammed into him and knocked the human from his grip.
Geresh hurried over to his prey and bite down on them around the shoulders as they tried to get up and run.  He lift his head and opened his maw wider to let them side in but Kalex reached right into his maw pulled the human out.  The Rex tried to snap his maw shut in time but it was to late.  Kalex gulped down the last human before Geresh had a chance to do anything about it.
A bell dinged from somewhere in the ruined arena signaling the end of the contest.  The announcer name on shortly after to announce the winner.
“What a spectacular ending to his event!  The winner with a score of fifty and a half to forty nine and a half is Kalex Sharptalon!”
If there was a crowed left there would be cheering, but all the noise the crowd made was the gurgles coming from the giant beasts stomachs.  Geresh roared and stomped angerly for a while before storming off out of the arena and to a transport that would take him home.  Kalex stayed in the arena to sleep off his massive meal, with a satisfied smirk on his face.
A dragon and T-Rex have a contest to see who's the better predator.
